You're damned even when you try to be politically correct
An idealistic rooky New York schoolteacher tried to inspire her third-graders to have some pride in their
ethnic physical characteristics. She used a book (both PC and soppy) called "Nappy Hair" -- which was written by
a black woman for just this purpose. Hotheads in the Brooklyn black community went ballistic and accused
her of racism and bigotry -- because she is a white blond woman. [If she had been a black teacher, no one would
have objected.] They threatened her with physical violence. Maybe these black mamba women really don't want
their children to become interested in learning how to read because that would be submitting to honky cultural imperialism. Bah, humbug! Go back to Africa (as though any country there would actually want people like you).
